Time Management!!
Okay, heres the thing. I am a single parent with 3 kids. I work a full time job of 40+ hours a week and a full time student at Kaplan. I go to the gym 4-5 times a week.(This is me time) I need help on workin in time for homework. How can I work, go to school, spend time with my kids, go to the gym and complete all of my assignments in a timely fashion? Keep in mind that I need to sleep at some point. I need HELP!! Any ideas?

Hey, Sheshonne. I wish I could give you some exact tips. However, I don't have three kids, don't go to the gym four to five times a week and work a 40+ hour work week. Wow, just typing that made me tired. I applaud your dedicationand determination, Sheshonne. What I suggest is trying to take 15-30 minutes at night when the kids are asleep. It might help focus with some quiet time. I hope that helps. Good luck with your time management.
ReplyDeleteGo girl! Do not feel overwhelmed because you are doing wonderful things! It all will pay off in the end. I too have trouble with time management. Do you have a daily planner? A daily planner or weekly planner helps me a lot. I also keep a calendar on the refrigerator and in the bathroom. If I come up with any more tips I will let you know :)
ReplyDeleteWow, i have no idea what to tell you, i hope some others can chime in and help. good luck on your very busy schedule.
ReplyDeleteWowee. It sounds a lot like my life, too. Rest as much as you can. Try yoga!??? That has been my saving grace. It shows you how to be in the moment and also gives you a rest at the end (savasana) that is better than a nap!
ReplyDeleteI would say schedule in an hour a day after the kids goto sleep for school work. No TV no distraction or anything else for that hour. Even if you end up just starring at a computer screen for that hour thinking about what to write for a paper. The more you get the routine down of "This is school time!" the easier it will be to get homework done in that time.
